The technologies behind the IBES biomass generator

The IBES biomass generator comprises three components:

  1. The furnace which generates both hot water and superheated steam. The water and steam are generated in separate processes but by the same furnace and 94% of the energy in the fuel is converted to heat.
  2. Cyclone steam engine. An innovative and very efficient (up to 32%) external combustion engine.
  3. Alternator. This convert rotational energy from the engine into electricity. The output can be 1 phae (ex. 120Vac, 240Vac) or 3 phase (ex. 208vac, 380Vac); or low voltage DC (ex. 48V)
